Dr. Michael Finnegan shows you how to write a “Killer College Application”

Teens interested in help in applying for college can attend a FREE workshop on Saturday, August 20th.  Dr. Michael Finnegan, professor at FIT,  has guided hundreds of students through the college application process to gaining admission to the college of their choice.  Dr Finnegan will review the college application process and give tips on what to include in your essay.  Some practice time will be included.

This Workshop will be held from 1-4pm in the Lagoon Room of the Environmental Learning Center, 255 Live Oak Drive, Vero Beach.

Writing a Killer College Application Essay is a presentation of the Laura (Riding) Jackson Foundation’s Teen Writers Workshops.  Topics for 2016-17 are College Application, Acting, Shakespeare, Spoken Word Poetry, Speculative Fiction, and Humor Writing.  All workshops are free and open to any student in Indian River County in grades 9-12.  Students who complete three workshops and submit a piece of writing accepted by the committee can become Fellows.  Fellows receive a certificate presented at LRJF’s annual Poetry BBQ on April 2, 2017.
